If you are looking to spend your next motorcycle touring holiday on some of the very best roads in Europe, both over mountains and through valleys and gorges, then this motorbike tour will provide you with everything!

We take an overnight mini cruise to Spain.  Upon arrival can enjoy our riding route through lush countryside to our 3* popular and long standing hotel partner in the Picos de Europa national park. The Picos is one of the truly unspoiled areas of Spain still unaffected by large numbers of tourists. Traffic free roads through the mountains - yes please! The contrasts within these 300 square miles of spectacular natural beauty linking Cantabria and Asturias are amazing. Looking up you will see dramatic rocky mountain peaks rising up to over 8000 feet, small isolated mountain villages are tucked away in the higher mountain slopes almost completely isolated, deep gorges plunge down vertically into deep river valleys, sparkling lakes and magical forests make this an adventure playground just waiting to be explored. And your motorcycle is the perfect instrument upon which to play!  In the evenings you can enjoy dinner in the hotel or in the small village.  Optional extra:  upgrade to 4* hotel in the Picos or a wonderful historic parador - one of the best Paradors in Spain located in the former San Pedro de Villanueva Monastery, a beautiful building where the decor is warm but traditional and the cuisine is local

After three nights exploring the best roads in the Picos de Europa we continue our motorcycle tour in Portugal to ride the verdant wine-growing area of the Douro Valley. Our base for three nights is a FOUR STAR hotel on the Douro river and a great place from which to explore the unspoilt countryside of this beautiful part of northern Portugal appropriately described by writer Miguel Torga as "geological poetry".   Whilst based here you can ride out following curves along the river, through undulating terrain, past Moorish castles to the UNESCO heritage site of Porto, where tall-masted ships still anchor at the dockside with their traditional cargo of Port oaken barrels. Our prepared routes will take you out on uncluttered roads where you are more likely to encounter cows and sheep rather than oncoming traffic - enjoy the views, enjoy the ride and enjoy the friendly hospitality of the locals for this is really what this tour is all about!

After enjoying the beautful Douro Valley we head back into Spain to the historic, university city of Burgos.  We stay in a centrally located FOUR STAR hotel with swimming pool and included garage parking.

Our final day in Spain is an enjoyable ride ride through super countryside as we head back to Santander for the return mini cruise back to the UK
