We have been many times to Slovenia and Croatia and have always wanted to ride the Dalmatian coastline. We know from previous experience that Dubrovnik is always a little too far from Opatija where we have stayed in the past - so this itinerary will give you more time to get to your destination!
After two overnight stops you take an interesting route to the ever popular resort of Lake Bled in Slovenia. You stay for two nights so that you can either enjoy the local facilities or ride out to Predjama Castle and Postojna Caves - those who went on our last group tour thoroughly enjoyed this experience!
You will stay for SIX DAYS in Croatia giving you plenty of time to explore and ride some fabulous coastal roads. As you leave Slovenia behind you will cross the border into Croatia or Hrvatska to give it it's local name. You can enjoy an overnight stay in the port resort of Zadar known for the beautiful sunsets, before heading futher south along the coast to the "pearl of the Adriatic", Dubrovnik. The UNESCO World Heritage Site basks in a warm mediterranean climate and is adorned with ancient buildings and beautiful streets and historic houses topped by terracotta tiles.
Dubrovnik is very much open to tourism and our friends at the Tourist Office offer a selection of tours with guides who can show you the highlights of this famous city during your stay. If you want to venture even further afield why not take a ride out to neighbouring Montenegro.
After three nights in Dubrovnik you will journey inland to Mostar in Bosnia to visit the famous bridge before continuing to the well know resort of Split for a one night stay.
You return homeward via Tuscany using an overnight ferry from Split with cabin included. You will stay in a delightful spa town a short ride from Pisa and Lucca with options to visit the famous Campo at Siena and the fascinating museum at Vinci that contains amazing works by Leonardo da Vinci whose birthplace is but a short ride away through the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Your return route will also take you via France with two overnight stops back to Calais.
