There are many hotels and guest houses in Austria but our partners have been welcoming British guests for many years and positively welcome motorcyclists. Our base, which is ideal for discovering the most impressive tours of the Alps, is a popular motorcycle meeting point and we have great ride outs for motorcycling guests. Whether you're looking for short, long, difficult, fast, curvy or scenic tours there is something for everyone!
After two stopovers in the Champagne region and the lovely Black Forest, your typically Tyrolean Hotel, located at the foot of the famous Alpine passes, is approached via the scenic Reschen Strasse and Fern Pass - the first of many mountain routes for you to explore during your stay. Ride the famous Bernina and Arlberg passes, discover the delights of the lesser known but equally demanding Julier Pass and Ofen pass, not forgetting the Reschen Pass on the far side of the village and the Brenner, then enjoy the seven passes leading to glitzy lakeside San Moritz. Head south over the Stilfserjoch (better known as the Stelvio Pass) - a glorious array of 47 hairpins and switchbacks that really will test your skills and make your wrists ache! On the other side of the Stelvio is the Italian ski resort of Bormio and the Bagni Vecchi spa baths that date back to Roman times - definitely worth the trip. Your return route will take you through Bavaria and Fussen (home of King Ludwig's fairytale castle) and along the "Romantic Road" (Romantische Hauptstrasse") for an overnight stay in medieval Rotheburg and continuing a scenic ride to Luxembourg via the Rhine and Moselle for the last night of the tour. If you love riding your bike, cross the border to explore more of Italy, Switzerland and Bavaria in Germany using the motorcycle route plans prepared for you!
