Ride through scenery of jaw-dropping beauty as you ride your motorcycle alongside lakes where the still waters reflect the sky in a complete mirror image. On a clear, still day every bend is a major photo opportunity - it really is just sooo pretty.

You need to organise your own flight into Oslo Gardemoen or Torp airport, pick up your motorbike from the hire depot near Oslo and depart on tour.

In the recent past our efforts to bring groups to Norway have been hampered by the absence of a direct ferry route from the UK. The only way to access Norway these days is to ride up through Holland and Denmark - not the prettiest route and inevitably time consuming. This FlyRide option gives you the possibility to land in the capital, Oslo and then ride from there. You really can ride to the Arctic Circle and back in just one week...

Speed is not the issue - the roads are the equivalent of our A class rural highways and the scenery is so attractive you will be happy to travel at a modest pace. If you are a speed freak then Norway is really not for you - the policing is aggressive and the fines exhorbitant... Having got that out of the way then please be assured that Norway ranks in the top three of all of the tours that we have organised over the past 25 years. Yes it really is THAT good

We have four SelfGuided itineraries for you to choose from.  Spend a week in the Fjord area experiencing some of the best scenery taking in the Trollstigen highway and the Atlantic Road or pick our Arctic Circle tour or ride up to the North Cape.

If you have the time combine our Fjord and Arctic Circle tours to see the best of Norway.

The Arctic Circle Option:

After a night spent near the airport or in central Oslo, pick up your bike and commence your adventure riding your motorbike northwards to the Arctic Circle. Your first days riding is a great introduction to Norway with a low mileage and super scenery. Enjoy an overnight stay at a family hotel located in the heart of the countryside surrounded by gently rounded peaks just south of the Rondane National Park.  In the wintertime the reindeer cross this area on their annual migration.

The scenery changes and becomes wilder and more rugged as you motorcycle onwards to Mo-i-Rana known locally as the “Gateway to the Arctic” via Trondheim. Mo-i-Rana is situated half way between the very north and the very south of Norway and this will be your base for two nights and the very highlight of your tour! You will ride your motorcycle on our planned route and cross the Arctic Circle after 50 miles to visit the Arctic Circle Visitor Centre and yes, you can get a certificate to prove you have been there! Learn what life is like living in the Arctic or simply enjoy the stunning backdrop... Travel in June for the longest days and the nightime sun.

All too soon it’s time for you to turn your wheels and head south but remember this is Norway so the journey continues with great scenery all the way. After an overnight stopover at Trondheim with its olde worlde timber clad houses and busy commercial centre (it is the former capital of Norway) you will ride your motorcycle to stay in Lillehammer, host to the 1994 Winter Olympics. Look at the steep slopes and marvel at the courage of those winter Olympians hurtling down at breakneck speed. Witness at first hand the improbable heights of the ski jump and wonder just how Eddie the Eagle had the courage to take up this unlikely sport!  You will then continue your ride back to Oslo next day to drop off your motorbike before returning to the UK from Oslo international airport. Then it's down to the pub, or back to work and tell them all where you have been!

If you have more time to spare then add on a few more days and visit the fjord or ride to the North Cape. Prices and itinerary will vary depending on your requirements.

FLYRIDE OPTION You will need to arrange your own flight to Oslo - check out Skyscanner.com for fares and routes. But please call us to check availability (07889 936 959) before booking flights!

A note about pricing: Eating out in Norway can be very expensive so we try to include evening meals and breakfast wherever possible.

A note about timing your visit:   We recommend mid-June onwards and it's all over by the middle of September although early June is possible. Short season so plan well ahead.

Length of tour:  We think you should make more of your time by visiting the fjords or heading up to the NordKapp. We can help you with a modified itinerary if you want to add days to this tour.
