Black Forest

Your motorcycling holiday starts with a ride through the Champagne vineyards followed by glorious traffic free French countryside then it's up over the Vosges mountains before crossing into Germany!

Well established as a biking favourite the Black Forest is sure to be a popular destination - book early to secure your place! Spend days riding undulating, fast, sweeping, glorious and often spectacular roads in this beautiful part of southern Germany. A ride along the famous 500, the Schwarzwald Höhenstrasse, which bisects the area from Baden Baden to Titisee is a real highlight. The countryside is rich and verdant and dotted with pretty villages, waterfalls and of course the odd cuckoo clock. Only a short ride from the hotel is Triberg with Europe's highest waterfall and further afield Lake Constance and beautiful Mainau Island, the stunning heights of the Feldberg and lovely Lake Titisee. Visit the old town in Strasbourg, enjoy the thermal spas at Baden Baden, see the red Cathedral in Freiburg where fresh water streams run through the streets.

Our English speaking family-run hotel is in a quiet location surrounded by forests and meadows where marked walking paths can be accessed direct from the hotel. In keeping with nature, the whole hotel is supplied with water from a natural spring. After your day's ride, use the free sauna then relax on the outdoor sun terrace and if required, massage treatments are available at modest cost. Enjoy a buffet breakfast and four course evening meal with menu choice in the light and airy dining room - the kitchen prepares fresh food and the ham is home reared. There's also a fine array of fruity Schnapps and the homemade Black Forest Gateau is legendary!

The hotel positively welcomes motorcycling guests and offers parking, drying room and should you require it, garage repair facilities.
